Phoenix Processing and Test Facilities

Headed by Dr. Marlin Springer, the three senior individuals in our Huntsville, Alabama office have strong experience in plasma processing of organics. As inventors of plasma processes for organics, they have conducted more than 100 test programs related to the destruction of various hazardous wastes. The proprietary results have been reported to the companies and agencies that commissioned the tests. DRE tests confirming greater than 99.99999% destruction of Hexachlorobenzene, Diethyphthalate and Sodium Toluenesulfonate have been reported, as well as greater than 99.9999% destruction of PCBs.

Plasma Destruction and Resource Recovery System

Phoenix Projects Division delivers a proprietary Plasma Resource Recovery Process to produce syngas and treat hazardous wastes, including medical waste, PCBs, solvents, small arms ammunition and explosives. Appropriate patent applications have been filed.

Equipment

A feed system transfers waste to the high temperature Plasma Destruction Chamber. In the chamber, inorganic wastes are vitrified into molten slag and organic wastes are dissociated into elemental components. The product gas from the Destruction Chamber is quenched and scrubbed, and can be reclaimed as a fuel.
